We’re thrilled to announce that the Mutanga LIFE Team in Burundi has been named our LIFE Team of the Month for July! 🎉
Under the faithful mentorship of our leader Emmanuel, this dedicated team has been courageously advancing our mission to protect life—with compassion, courage, and Christ-centered care.
In July alone, their efforts led to two babies being saved from abortion!
One of these stories is a powerful reminder of how one simple, loving conversation can change everything.
A student named Hope* reached out to Chandelle, a Mutanga LIFE Team member and medical student, asking for help obtaining abortion pills. Hope was terrified—her father is a colonel in the Burundian army, and she believed that if he found out about the pregnancy, it could cost Hope her life.
Chandelle responded with Christ-like compassion. She invited Hope to meet, listened to her story, and lovingly encouraged her to choose life. With the support of the LIFE Team, Hope is now staying at a shelter for pregnant girls, as she awaits possible reconciliation with her family.
This is the heart of what we do: rescue the vulnerable, restore dignity, and walk with women in their darkest hour.
The Mutanga LIFE Team has done a wonderful job living out this mission. They are continuing to host trainings and outreaches in schools around Burundi.
