Amazing Story of Baby Found Alive in Nigeria

Happy Independence Day!

Dear Friend,

As we celebrate the freedoms we cherish here in America, I’m reminded of how blessed we are to have the support and resources that help us face life’s most challenging moments. This is a freedom we often take for granted—the freedom to choose hope and life in the midst of difficult circumstances. Your generosity is helping create that same freedom for women around the globe.

Here in America, there are many pregnancy centers and life-affirming resources available to women in crisis. But in places like Nigeria, the situation is so differentI recently spoke with Yusuf, our National Leader there, and he shared how difficult it is for women in financial hardship to choose life when so few options are available. Many are pressured into abortion simply because no one is there to walk alongside them.

One story that truly broke my heart—but also reminded me why we keep going—came from northern Nigeria just this week.

A local farmer in Kebbi state noticed something odd in his field. As he and others dug into the soil, they uncovered a newborn baby, wrapped in a cloth, crying and buried alive! The farmer rushed home and cared for her until authorities could step in. She’s now safe and being looked after, and we thank God for that miracle.

While heartbreaking, stories like this remind us of what’s at stake—and how your support is making a life-saving difference. Because of you, more women in Nigeria are hearing the message that they are not alone. They are receiving real, tangible help. And they’re saying yes to life.

On this Independence Day, I hope you’ll celebrate knowing that your generosity is bringing freedom—the freedom to choose life—to women and children in some of the most difficult circumstances.

From all of us—and from the lives you are helping to save—thank you!

Wishing you a joyful and meaningful 4th of July!

With heartfelt gratitude.
