Hope Starts with One Story—And Changes Everything

Take Marielle’s story, coming from Burundi:
Through the LIFE Team, Marielle began to experience healing and restoration—led by the compassion and truth of Christ. Her pain became a testimony of hope, leading her to support others walking through similar struggles.
When Adèle, a classmate of Marielle’s and a mother of three, found herself unexpectedly pregnant, fear took hold. She felt alone, overwhelmed, and uncertain about how she could possibly welcome another child. Abortion seemed like the only way out.
But then came Marielle.
When Marielle heard Adèle’s story, she didn’t hesitate. She listened. She shared her own story, and gave Adèle hope– the same hope Marielle had received herself.
Marielle reminded Adèle that she wasn’t alone—and that her life and her baby’s life both mattered deeply. Marielle’s unique position allowed her to show Adèle the light of Christ, bringing hope into that dark place.
That single moment of compassion changed everything.
Because Marielle stepped in with love and support:
Adèle returned to school to continue her education.
Her husband’s heart shifted, and he found the courage to support her.
And she carried her pregnancy to term, recently giving birth to a beautiful, healthy baby. (Photo below.)
This is a beautiful picture of redemption.
Jesus took one woman’s story of pain and turned it into a source of hope for another. Through that, a life was saved, a family was strengthened, and a future began to change.
This is what we call the domino effect of LIFE.
One woman finds hope—and turns to offer it to someone else.
