Powerful Testimony in Burundi

Earlier this month, our Burundi National Leader, Emmanuel, hosted a one-day practicum that brought together 20 participants from Ngozi University. Emmanuel used Pro-Life Global’s trainings: Pro-Life 101, Pro-Life Conversations, and Starting a Life Team, to equip students with the knowledge and confidence to be LIFESAVERS in their communities.

Because of your generosity, we were also grateful to provide the top two student leaders a Bible!

Several participants shared moving stories, including two mothers who shared about the strength and courage they embraced when becoming pregnant during secondary school.

A highlight of the day was the powerful testimony of Ellissa, a resilient student from Ngozi University. At just 16, Ellissa faced pressure from her family to have an abortion. Despite this pressure, Ellissa chose life, giving birth to a healthy baby. She shared, “In such situations, only God is your comforter and refuge.”
