Between September ’24 & February ’25, we know of eight babies that have been saved from our work in Burundi, PRAISE GOD!
One story is particularly compelling: A young couple, excited to welcome their first child, were grieved when their doctor told them that their child would have congenital malformations that were deemed “incompatible with life.
The doctor recommended an abortion.
However, this bold couple was not convinced by the diagnosis. They sought a second opinion and transferred to another hospital, where they came under the care of one of our dedicated pro-life leaders!
This pro-life doctor performed a new type of ultrasound that confirmed the presence of birth defects. Despite this, he reassured the family and explained that there was an alternative approach–postnatal surgery–that could potentially save the baby’s life.
The couple chose life for their beautiful baby and welcomed him into the world only a couple of months ago. He is under the care of a pediatric surgeon. Please pray with us for this child’s beautiful life and for his family!
Praise God for this brave family that chose to fight for their child, knowing that every human life deserves a chance to live, no matter their challenges.
